Plugin not found

Not sure why I'm having Markdown issues, but here's the latest. I'm
installing Markdown to run on the Clip-n-Seal blog.

Current working directory: /home/virtual/site162/fst/var/www/cgi-bin

* Installed Markdown into the plugins directory and it's not available in
the text formatting pull down.

* Permissions are set to 755

* I didn't see a place to configure the plugins directory in mt.cgi
(thinking that may help)

Any advice would be helpful. Could I be missing a Perl Module? Is it some
crazy server configuration from my host?
