is markdown ready to take the next big step?
here's what i'd like to see:
as an intermediate step, a browser plug-in
that would take a markdown-formatted file
and silently convert it into xhtml on-the-fly,
then render it as such in the browser window.
thus, a "view source" would show plain-text.
eventually, this could be incorporated _into_
the browser itself, so no plug-in was needed,
transforming the web into a place that has
a _plain-text_format_ as its very foundation.
let's save the world from the pain of heavy markup.
