some experiments with newer browsers have shown me
they _do_ now in fact support formatting of copied text.

just as i knew they could all along, despite all the long
tortured technical explanations on why it is impossible.

so as soon as mac classic o.s. is killed off successfully,
and all those machines are ensconced in the dumpsters,
we won't have to worry about the problem any more...     :+)
