MultiMarkdown help wanted

I'm trying to set up MultiMarkdown on a Linux box.  The multimarkdown
web pages, while they tell me all about multimarkdown, don't say much
about installing it.  Nor do they have much (anything) about command
line arguments etc.

Can anyone help and/or point me at a web page with some information.

Obviously the Perl scripts need to be on my PATH, that's easy enough,
but does anything else need to be put anywhere?
