Ow. Yeah, I'd never do that in an email, of course, so…yuck. Well, I  
just hope that I never have to put a code block immediately after a  
list. I can't think of a circumstance in which I would, I'm glad to  
say, so I think that the choice made by Markdown.pl and discount is  
the correct one.
