Although discount 1.6.2 doesn't leave the tick hanging, it's still not
right, I think:
./markdown -V
markdown: discount 1.6.2
./markdown
`hi\`
<p>`hi`</p>
But you should get:
<p><code>hi\</code></p>
--at least according to the reference implementation (and most
others). Backslashes don't escape `s inside code spans.
