yesterday, i understood the silence on this listserve fairly well.
after all, what can the ants really say when the elephants fight?
especially when the one group of elephants botched it so badly?
so very badly that all the other group of elephants has to do is to
call the first group "dicknose" and, ta-da, "mission accomplished".
so, you know, what are _you_ gonna say? nada. ergo, silence.
totally understandable.
but now you're busy rearranging the deck-chairs on the titanic?,
chattering away with almost a dozen messages about _tables_?
while the elephants are still fighting? are you folks plumb crazy?

p.s. i find it perplexing that people, including gruber, apparently,
think the plot was hatched on this listserve. perhaps i missed it,
but when did jeff atwood _ever_ post a message here? when?
other than macfarlane, none of the principals are regulars here,
and -- for all i know -- aren't even subscribed; why would they be?
p.p.s. as you'd expect, the rest of the internet loves the dust-up.
