use of Markdown in the name of an extension of the syntax

Hi,
I am developping an extension of the Markdown syntax in order to enable the embedding
of RDF markup into Markdown text. Unlike RDFa, it is closer to Markdown's philosophy than
from html markup.
Here is my question: is a name like Semantic Markdown suitable for such an extension,
without being in conflict with the terms of licence of Markdown?
Indeed, this work is/will:
- be free (MIT licence or equivalent)
- credit Markdown (and pandoc, etc) as root of the project
- be an attempt to propose an extension of the Md syntax for a special purpose
- explicitely distinguish Markdown and this **extension** of the Markdown syntax.
Best regards,
Jibé Bohuon
