Up the "Squashed Bones" route on the N. side of Mt. Temple yesterday with
Brian Webster. The traverse to the "normal" climbing line below the black
towers on the East ridge is currently half snow/half rock making for quick
travel. The snow is very well settled, even in the sun, and no avalanches
or rockfall were observed. The biggest concern for us was thin spots where
it was icy and the large moats near cliff edges, and i'm sure the icy bits
will grow significantly this week. the normal climbing line was dry except
for a 60m snow patch in the middle which made for quick climbing and refills
of water.

The summit ridge has larger cornices than usual, with obvious signs of
cracking. We climbed steeper ground on the N. side to give those nasty
buggers the space they deserve.
