[MCR] Rockies, The Professor Falls.

I guided an ascent of The Professor Falls today, April 2nd. The route is big and blue. Not much water running on the climb today and we had no problem keeping to dry ice and maintaining a dry rope.

Lots of wind gusts in the moderate to strong range. We walked off of the last pitch (something that seems to be falling out of favour with most recent parties rappelling the route). Got into the forest just in time to see a largish size 1 avalanche run naturally over where the route -Ten Years After- forms. Lots of fresh looking cornices clinging intermittently to the summit ridge line (a number of them have parted company with said ridge line). I suspect that the trigger for the avalanche was a cornice, or wind loading from the gusts.

Happy trails,
