Hello everybody
Last week I guided "The Last Tango" on the Columbia Buttress west of Revelstoke. I noticed that a larger size rock-fall went down the route and sheared off a large number of bolts and has bent approximately 20 other bolts. The route it self is in great shape, no damage on the actual rock has been observed. With this rock-fall damage the route has temporarily some larger run-outs. I am hoping to go back within the following two weeks to replace the damaged bolts. I will post a MCR as soon as I have done all repair work and the route is back in excellent shape. In the meantime interested climbers who want to climb the Columbia Buttress might want to consider the superb route "Eternity" (no rock-fall damage). The descent trail from the top of the Columbia Buttress back to the Trans Canada Highway (60 minutes) is in top shape and very easy to find. Details you can find on www.revelstokerockclimbing.com
Enjoy the amazing autumn climbing weather
