[MCR] Rogers Pass Conditions - Oct 24, 2013

[Public Mountain Conditions Report]

No, it is not ski season yet. Quite the contrary, in fact. There has been a pronounced inversion in the BC interior the past week, where fog has convinced valley-bottom dwellers that things are grey. However, bluebird conditions in Rogers Pass with tree-line elevation highs of 10-12*C has cleared off quite a bit of snow. The west ridge of Tupper is completely climbable again. Sir Donald would likely have verglas and snow on ledges, but it was melting back today as well.
I've also included a couple of images of the Illecillewaet and Asulkan Glaciers, including 7 Steps of Paradise. The holes are fairly evident.
