I dropped off the top of Marmot Peak yesterday and skied a mellow
line into Whistler creek. Cold conditions were evident with good
skiing down a low angle basin into the head of Whistler creek.

There was approximately 10cm of newer dry snow which carried well in
the upper 2/3 of the run down to treeline.
A melt freeze crust could then be felt under the new snow from
treeline down into the head of the drainage
Once on the trail, good easy cruising and skating carried you over
the flat sections and down the creek.

Some natural activity was observed on the steep south facing slopes
of Indian ridge. This was a loose dry size 1 sluff. No other new
activity was observed on north facing slopes.

Great spring conditions with some good winter skiing on north
aspects. South aspects seem to be holding together and with proper
timing there is some good corn snow to be found. Shallow areas at
lower elevations seem to be getting isothermal (wet and bottomless)
in the late afternoons.
