[MCR] Access - Prohibited Activity Notice - Mt Green/Ross Peak, Glacier National Park, September 1-5, 2015

[Public Mountain Conditions Report]

Climbers and scramblers please take note of the following closure: All 
slopes and climbing routes on Mt Green and Ross Peak will be closed to all 
activities Tuesday September 1st  through September 5th.  The closed area 
has the same boundaries as the Ross and Smart Winter Restricted Areas.
Explanation: 
Blasting operations are scheduled to take place on Mt Green on Tuesday 
September 1st, 2015 but due to weather concerns may not happen until later 
in the week.  The purpose of these operations is to safely remove, by 
detonation, unexploded artillery projectile that was fired as part of 
Parks Canada's Avalanche Control Program.
