All:

I'm wondering if they could be pulling a scam; have someone they know(or part of the same company) since they bid with name withheld.

If no one else bids then they loose nothing, if the do then they got a sale.

Why can't ebay do something about this.  I guess it's not in their interest.

I know if you went in a store down the street and some did the, they could get caught for fraud.
