Thanks to all who responded to my question concerning the T1.

Ken, I'll have to get your Class J book. (Sorry, but I do own the one you
co-authored on N&W passenger service!)

Thanks especially to Dave for his lengthy explanation. I've always heard of
the T1 being "slippery", but really didn't understand why Pennsy would have
built so many if they were poor performers. Obviously, the T1 must have done
what it was designed to do, just as the Class J did.
