Bristol Line Pole line removal

When they took down the wire around the Nace, Virginia area on the Shenandoah 
Division, they secured the wire to a rig that was bolted to the right rear 
wheel on an old Chevrolet pickup. The jacked up the right rear tire, put it in 
gear, and wound up about a quarter mile of wire I would guess. When the spool 
was full, the would repeat the process. The cut down the poles and the locals 
hauled them off as soon as the dust settled. I will try to find my pictures.
