Note from MR re: October 2004 Article

Having contributed to MR (B&O National Limited article, etc.), I was surprised at the dialogue surrounding Rich's article. In every case, MR gave me the final galleys to review and correct before they were published. 

Yes, they DO like to do heavy editing, primarily to meet their own space restrictions. But on the positive side, they have an excellent graphics department which can nicely replace complex text with a clear, space-saving diagram. 

I hope Rich's bad experience does not discourage other N&Wers from contributing to MR (and the other model mags). It's a great way to keep the N&W in front of the modeling public, and under normal circumstances, things will come out MUCH better.
