#475 Relettered

I also noticed in the photo that the locomotive number was stenciled on the tender.  N&W tenders were not assigned  and were often swapped, ergo not numbered for the locomotive.  Numbering the tender for the locomotive must be a Strasburg thing!  There were also marker lights mounted PRR-style.
What was the occasion for the Strasburg to letter the tender Norfolk and Western?   Don Corbin

  The 475 is a 4-8-0 Class M.   Was built by Baldwin in June 1906, retired by the railroad in September 1959.
