I haven't seen the 578 in many years and I know it's been decades since it 
has been fired up. I imagine that it will take much work and many dollars, if it 
even can be restored at all. Another 8 years and it will be a century old!
If I hear through the grapevine anything I'll pass it on. It is a nice little 
Pacific.
In case you don't know this plans in O scale for this engine appeared in the 
July 77 or 78 issue of Model Railroader.
