Whats up with the VA Tech ImageBase?

I see the same thing. If you are simply browsing the folios, they are empty. If you search for something specific, the images are available.

I just went to [http://imagebase.lib.vt.edu/] had no
trouble getting a picture to come up.  Not sure what
picture you're looking for but I tried for a
particular locomotive and so typed: “N&W RS-11”
(without quotes) and hit 'Enter'.  Several pictures of
N&W RS-11's come up without incident.
