Hello, Archives staff:

Does the Archives have files on construction of N&W
stations and other buildings by the John P. Pettyjohn
& Co.?  Also, has there ever been a listing prepared
of all projects undertaken by this firm for the N&W?

Likewise, if any other persons have a corporate
history of this Lynchburg company, I'd appreciate
references.  It is interesting to note that N&W made
repeated use of this company throughout Virginia.  It
seems that there was a long-standing partnership
between the two, instead of N&W putting projects up on
competitive bids for local contractors to handle.
