VGN renumberings

VGN Train Nos. 71-72 operated between Roanoke and Norfolk.  They  were
time freights meaning they handled merchandise traffic (but usually
carried a coal or hopper car filler).  Nos. 71-72 did not appear in  the New 
River
Division timetables,  so time freight service Roanoke-Deepwater was  protected
by extras.  After the '59 merger, Nos. 71-72 continued to operate to  Sewalls
Point via the Jarratt District usually handling a movement of boulder sized  
rocks
for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.
