Last Steam on Norfolk Division - maybe

I have only a vague recollection of what I have thought was the last  
mainline, at least, steam run on the Norfolk Division. It was a west  bound time 
freight that came through Lynchburg about midday in a summer month of  1958 or 
1959, engine 1214. I remember being impressed with it's dog  house.  Maybe this 
will be a starting point for someone with more  information.
