PRR T1 Test on N&W

I'm currently working on an analysis of the PRR T1
4-4-4-4 test on N&W during June 1948.  For all the
detail that's available, there is no record of how the
T1 got to Roanoke by June 9, 1948.  Several of us have
been speculating about a probable route
(Cincinnati-Roanoke, Hagerstown-Roanoke), but so far,
no one has ever seen or heard how the engine actually
got there. Do any of the discussion board participants
have some information?
