Hooded block signals in Marion VA

I forgot to thank Gary Price for providing the location information. Thanks Gary!

I honestly was kind of hoping NS would elect to replace existing CPL's with NEW CPL's like they had in Roanoke. Of course, the interlocking at Schuleen is pretty simple with just one switch, so it doesn't afford the nightmare conditions that would exist if you took the entire Roanoke interlocking plant down. That would, in effect, take the central hub of the old N&W off line! I can see why NS would rather just pay a little more for new CPL arms than have to do all that.
And, to answer my own question, I have seen some hooded signals in Roanoke if I remember correctly. Duh...

And, as for Abram's comment, I wonder if NS would consider contracting out the work for signal bee removal??? (hee hee)

Thanks everyone.
Ben Blevins

I hope your brother-in-law has the franchise for selling hornet spray to the NS Signal Department, Mr. Blevins.
