As I recall, there were still some ex-PRR crews still working in the late  
70's.
Their crew district had been Columbus - Sandusky.  Their home  terminal
was still Columbus and on arrival at Bellevue, they were taxied to  Sandusky
to take rest.  Guess the only time they got to see their family was if  mom
drove the family to the tracks to watch the train pass. Is this correct ? 
On the ready track at Portsmouth one night, an ex-PRR engineer  reported,
got on the engine, dumped the drinking water out of the window, then  notified
the service track foreman that the engine didn't have any drinking  water.  I
guess it was pay back time.
