Holiday Greetings

I purchased 80 N&W slides from an estate collection, most of which were diesel, this was among them.

These units were manufactured by GM-EMD and are known as F7A. They were rated at 1500 HP & had wide service on the N&W doing both passenger & freight. 

The unit pictured is among the first group numbered by N&W. That group were assigned road numbers 3657-3662.
More units were purchased & added to the fleet they ran numbers 3666, 3667, 3671, 3706, 3709, 3711, 3716, 3719-3723, 3725,3726.

Many other railroad lines purchased this model & it is probably one of the most recognized styles to ever grace the rails.
