N&W vs. ACL

You hadda be there.  There were those who believed that the Scioto Division and others who believed that the Motive Power Department went their own ways in lots of things they did, and jokingly wondered when these two areas (after the real mergers beginning in 1959) were going to merge into the N&W.  I even heard the reference applied to the Signal Department.
