The CG&P got as far east as Russellville, Ohio. They built bridge abutments at Eagle Creek , which is south east of Russellville. The line started out as a narrow gage, then went to standard to interchange with the Pennsy east of Cincinnati. At one time there were 3 gauges together on the same line. Narrow, standard and wide gauge. Wide was for the trolley cars that went into Coney Island Amusement Park. There is a great book on the CG&P if you can find it called Railroad With 3 gauges. It is as thick as a phone book,564 pages and is very detailed on the CG&P and other small lines around Cincinnati. The book is by David McNeil.
First printing was 1986.
