Race Horse's Nickname

Several years after Race Horse Smith's death, Mrs. Race Horse authored and published a small biography of her husband.  It was a small hardback book, of only sixty or so pages, and was printed only for the family and consisted mainly of family information.

Someone who received a copy loaned it to me for reading, but that has been many years ago

If anyone has acquired a copy of that book, please tell me...  Does Mrs. Race Horse comment on husband's nickname?  I'm wondering just how far back in his career that name went.
