As Ed King can probably confirm,  DeCratur Division had its own  vocabulary.
One term used was "bear crew".  On the train sheet, one might find  an
entry "DS-11 beared at Cerro Gordo."  "Bear Crew" - that was the  relief
called to recrew a train tied up on the Hours of Service Law.  Then  there
was "The Poor Boy".  That was the name of the Chicago commuter  train.  Why ?
Because it didn't make any money.
