RAILROAD NOTES
Dedicate Railroad Y.M.C.A.
Shenandoah, Va., April 8 -- The Railway Young Men's Christian
Association building at this place, just completed by the Norfolk and
Western railway at a cost of $6,000, was dedicated Thursday night
before a large audience. The meeting was presided over by Dr. J. M.
Ropp, the company's surgeon, of this place, and speeches were made by
Mr. G.F. Furly, trainmaster of Shenandoah division; Mr. T.S. Vance,
corresponding secretary of the Young Men's Christian Association of
Virginia; Mr. J.P. Bingley, secretary of the Railway Young Men's
Christian Association , Hagerstown, Md.; Dr. E.Z. Hudson, of this
place, and Mr. H.O. Williams, of New York city, International
secretary of the Railway Young Men's Christian Association.
The association is in charge of Mr. G.K. Roper, secretary, of
Richmond, Va. Mr. Roper is a Christian gentleman who has made many
friends in Shenandoah.
