1907 - VIRGINIA RAILWAY AND EXPOSITION AGREE

Roanoke Times - May 18, 1907

Portsmouth, Va., May 17. -- An agreement from the Jamestown Exposition
Company with the Virginian Railway Company was admitted to record yesterday
in the Norfolk county clerk's office. The agreement is that the railway
company shall at once purchase for the sum of $15,955.28, all the rails,
fastenings, frogs and switch material used in the construction of railroad
tracks in and about the exposition grounds, the delivery of same to be made
within three months after the close of the exposition.
The railway company further agrees to sell to the exposition company at
any time prior to the three months from the close of the exposition so much
of the tracks as the exposition company desires at a price in proportion to
the amount paid by the railway to the exposition company.
