one grammatical comment:

The article says " On June 28, 2007, Norfolk Southern 
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norfolk_Southern> railways donated 31 
miles of rail for the park."   I think you mean that NS donated 31 miles 
of right of way -- the land not the steel rails....Jim McDaniel
