T6 #41

[NW Mailing List]

41 belongs to Roanoke Chapter NRHS, and has been stored at Western  
Maryland Scenic Railway since about 2004 after the contract for use  
on West Virginia Central was cancelled. The 41 went to WMSRR with the  
six cars on a "home shop" move to get repairs done before they could  
be interchanged. It is on the way back to Roanoke, hopefully for  
display this next weekend at the Roanoke Shops, then back to the  
maintenance facility at 9th Street. Hopefully, 41 is still operable.  
Also in Hagerstown was former 611/1218 toolcar No. 1407 (Class Ms  
head end car) it was returned home with 41, but was sidelined with  
some mechanical issues, but those are resolved and hopefully it is in  
motion soon.

The other cars were moved over a year ago to North Carolina  
Transportation Museum at Spencer and operate daily in their excursion  
train.
