Movement of locos back to VMT

Gary,

My understanding is that the museum is going to take the opportunity while the locos are out of the way to rebuild the lead into the museum.  Getting the big machines out of the museum was a very dicey situation because the ties have pretty much rotted out from under the rails.

Ken Miller or Brian Crosier can probably give you some idea of the time frame if they are following these posts.

  After the East End shops anniversary celebration, when are the locomotives moving back to VMT?

   

  We have an Australian member, who is coming to Roanoke near the end of October to see 611 and 1218 who is fearful that the locos will still be at the shops.
