One interesting revelation during the Virginian at Mile Post 2007
get-together -- not all hoppers will clear Durmid Tunnel on the
Durham District.  Hopper trains returning from Hyco, Mayo, and
the new plant located near South Boston would normally route
via Lynchburg so as not to buck the volume of eastward traffic
on the Altavista District.  The trains with hoppers that  won't
clear return to the former VGN at Vabrook and come west
to Roanoke.
