N&W/Scioto Valley Question

I don't think the connection if one as existed at "CANDO" was ever used for revenue trains but it would have been more of a contractor's camp or laydown yard during the construction of the C&O's Chesapeake & Hocking from the N&W connection at Greggs/Waverly to Columbus. The contractor on this section of the C&H was Sturm and Dillard. 

As an aside, Sturm and Dillard also did some tunnel work for the C&O between Hinton, WV and Clifton Forge, VA. Did they ever do any work for the N&W?

 Cromley did have a telegrapher which shows up in  N&W's system
 timetable eff. November 24, 1907. The telegraphic station call for
 Cromley was "CR".
