North Carolina Branch (Pulaski to Galax/Fries)

appears to be the only source of such photos and other info. This is such a
beautiful and interesting branch line, I'm surprised it wasn't visited and
photographed more as we neared the end of steam. Any thoughts about this?
Are there any other sources of good info regarding the North Carolina
Branch?

Mike, Galex was the nearest RR to me in the 50s. I sent some pix of y5 2057 to the archives in Roanoke shifting its train in Galex summer of 1957. The crew invited me to the cab for a visit. Memories to cherrish. Ron Hash
