First Wreck on Widemouth Extension
------
The first wreck on the new Widemouth Extension of the Norfolk and Western occurred yesterday when the engine of the Bluestone passenger train left the track. The accident occurred near Matoaka, and the train was running at pretty near full speed at the time. The engine was badly torn up, several of the wheels being torn off. Fortunately, none of the coaches left the track and no one was hurt. The engineer and fireman escaped injury by jumping.
