DRUNKEN MAN TRIED TO SHOOT CONDUCTOR
------
On train No. 11 Tuesday morning a white man who was the worse for liquor raised a disturbance and made the air blue with his oaths. He was ordered to leave the car by Conductor Croy, whereupon the rowdy's brother, who had also been drinking, drew a pistol and threatened to shoot the conductor. Mr. Croy, however, quickly overpowered the man and turned him over to the authorities at Welch. The fellow was given a preliminary hearing yesterday. He was fined $25 for carrying a gun, and was held for the grand jury on the charge of trying to shoot the conductor.
