Weighs 109 Pounds and Handles One of the Biggest Machines
------
    Taylor Shawyer of the Norfolk and Western has the satisfaction of being the smallest engineer on the system.  Although he weighs only 109 pounds he can handle the largest engine with the greatest ease and has the reputation of being one of the best engineers in the service.  Just recently this division of the Norfolk and Western received two big Atlantic type engines, and he was placed in charge of the monsters to break them in or prepare them for the service.
    Mr. Shawyer has spent thirty years of his life on the rail, having entered the service of the old Piqua as a fireman in 1873.  He came to the Norfolk and Western in 1885 and has been with that company ever since.
