Eckman Yard

My records show that dispatching of steam from Eckman was terminated in May 1951. Eckman had 109 steam dispatches in April 1951, 56 in May and zero in June.

  N&W To Close Eckman Shops



  While no official announcement has been forthcoming, 

  reports have circulated that only skeleton crews will be 

  maintained at the N and W yard and shop at Eckman. 



  It has been reported that some of the yard and shop 

  workers have already been transferred to Williamson 

  and still others will be shifted within the next few days.  



  According to information received here , a crew of only 

  three or four men will be maintained to run the Eckman yard.
