DEEPWATER WINS CASE AGAINST THE
N. & W.

    The case of the Norfolk and Western vs. the Deepwater railway company which went from this county to the Supreme Court was decided yesterday.  The decision was said to be favorable to the Deepwater Company.

[I presume this case had to do with the attempts of the N&W to keep the Virginian from crossing its rights of way near Matoaka on the soon-to-be-built Bluestone Branch.]
