JOHNSON VICE-PRESIDENT

Executive Head of N. & W. Now Officer of the Belt Line

   Mr. L. E. Johnson, president of the Norfolk and Western railroad, 
was on Wednesday, at a meeting held in Norfolk, elected 
vice-president of the Norfolk and Portsmouth Belt Lin Railroad 
company. A complete list of the officers elected is as follows:
   President - W. A. Patton, of Philadelphia, president of the New 
York, Philadelphia and Norfolk railroad.
   Vice-President - L. E. Johnson, of Roanoke, president of the 
Norfolk and Western railway.
   Secretary - O. J. DeRousee, of Philadelphia.
   Treasurer - Caldwell Hardy, of Norfolk
   General Counsel - Thomas H. Wilcox, of Norfolk
   General Superintendent and Agent - George S. Shafer, of Norfolk
   Directors - W. A. Patton, A. ?. Andrews, of the Southern railway, 
G. M Serpell, of the Atlantic Coast Line railway; W. A. Garrett, of 
the Seaboard Air Line railway; Frank S. Cannon, of the Norfolk and 
Southern railway; George W. Stevens, of the Chesapeake and Ohio 
railway, and Thomas H. Wilcox.
