Where is this?

OK, I give up.  I can't figure it out.  What does GOB stand for in the reply about the photo of Roanoke?

  That would be the East End Shops in Roanoke, Virginia. The roundhouse is the passenger car roundhouse. You can see the motive power building and GOB (both buildings) in the photo as well. The photo is looking west. If you look carefully you can see the N&W Passenger Station as well.
