Reference to a 1955 Sanborn insurance map available online through the
Salem, VA, public library reveals that Liberty Road ended at the west side
of the N&W tracks and that Mundy Road ended a block from the east side of
the tracks. There was a lot with one dwelling between the west end of Mundy
Road and the tracks through which the new Liberty Road had to be extended..
