Here are photos of the Class A in tow in Chambersburg, PA.
Because of the snapshot quality it was difficult to read the engine number.
To confound things, the date 1943 was penciled on the back. The NY
Worlds Fair was 1939-40, and 1206 was displayed there.
PRR borrowed an A in 1941 for testing, and according to Ed King's book that
was 1208. So it's only a guess that this is 1206.
The PRR engine is 2-8-2 611 (what a coincidence), and I think it was
doubleheaded with a PRR K2sa 4-6-2.
Does anyone know how 1208 was routed to the PRR? It began its testing at
Altoona and worked its way west from there.
