Matoaka News
------
Travel over the Deepwater seems to be increasing every day. Last Thursday the Norfolk and Western being late the Virginian did not wait on its connection and there were thirty-two through passengers who had to lay over at Matoaka until the next day. [Hard to believe today that there were that many through passengers at Matoaka, and equally hard to imagine what 32 people did in Matoaka for almost 24 hours inasmuch as schedules show only one train a day on the Deepwater.]
------
The Deepwater construction train that was taken off some days ago was put back to work Friday and is now laying track between Rock and Princeton with a force of over sixty men. Conductors Hill and Kelly are in charge.
